Adult Education

The Bible talks about the spiritual life like a seed that, when planted, will grow. Adult education is one of the ways to help that seed grow, no matter what stage of growth you are at in your spiritual life.

Some of the adult education areas at KBC are:

The Alpha Course: A great starting point for learning about Christianity. If you have questions about God or about faith, one of the very best places to find answers is at the Alpha course.  This series of 12 evening sessions will open up the heart of the Christian life like nothing else.  You can expect a warm, welcoming environment where you can be yourself — and share your thoughts and ideas without fear of judgment. Learn more on and find out about upcoming courses on the Alpha page.

Sunday Morning Electives:  Between the services (10:20 to 11:05am)  a teacher or leader will present a class on a Biblical or topical subject that impacts Christians today. Studies can be a series of classes or just one lecture. Examples of some past classes are: “Learn Biblical Greek” and “Exploring the DaVinci Code”. Check the Events page to see what classes are currently being offered. If you have a class you feel called to lead please contact one of the Pastors or office staff with your idea.

Discipleship: Jesus called people to follow him and become his disciples (Matthew 9:9). Our culture expects quick results but spiritual growth through persistent discipleship is a process that happens over a lifetime of faithful study and obedience. For those who have made a commitment of faith to follow Jesus Christ, we can identify three stages of growth:

  1. Growing in Christ,
  2. Close to Christ, and
  3. Christ-Centered.

In addition to a regular quiet time (daily time for scripture reading and prayer), most believers find that the other two important steps to maturity involve attending worship each week, and getting involved in some kind of regular bible study with other Christians. The primary opportunity for Bible study at KBC happens in Small Groups. These groups meet informally in people’s homes and generally include an interactive bible study, prayer and fellowship.
A Discipleship course is also offered as a Sunday Morning Elective.
