Discipleship

Discipleship: Jesus called people to follow him and become his disciples (Matthew 9:9). Our culture expects quick results but spiritual growth through persistent discipleship is a process that happens over a lifetime of faithful study and obedience. For those who have made a commitment of faith to follow Jesus Christ, we can identify three stages of growth:

1. Growing in Christ
2. Close to Christ
3. Christ-Centered

In addition to a regular quiet time (daily time for scripture reading and prayer), most believers find that the other two important steps to maturity involve attending worship each week, and getting involved in some kind of regular bible study with other Christians. The primary opportunity for Bible study at KBC happens in Small Groups. These groups meet informally in people's homes and generally include an interactive bible study, prayer and fellowship.
